Valentine’s is for love, not just lovers
That’s the subject of an email that Abet sent me recently. It’s true, you know. I used to hate this commercial Hallmark holiday, but I’ve learned to embrace it, especially because I found my annual Valentine three years ago. Year 1 was in the Hot Air Balloon Festival. Year 2 was a candlelit dinner we prepared while dancing to Justin Bieber.
Year 3 was celebrated earlier. It was a bit fancier, because we met up in Italy.

This is the sign Ria was holding when she picked me up from the Milan Central Station a few weeks ago.
This year I’m in Hong Kong with Mikki, my bff who lives and works here. We have been friends for a total of 11 years.

Instead of just saying, “PUTANG INA NIYONG LAHAT NA MASAYA!” I think, “PUTANG INA NATING LAHAT NG MASAYA!” I choose love and happiness too, even in my state of homelessness and joblessness. I hope you do too :)

Of course, the only appropriate answer for this is, “Dolphinately!”
EHHHHHHH BADUY. Save Philippine Seas ang peg ng love life ko this year eh.
Everyday should be Valentine’s Day. But since Hallmark says it’s today, then happy hearts day! Give love, show love, spread love. And for the right person, spread your legs ;)
